It was a very busy week for OFF. The Fly Shop is getting much busier and with the hot weather and stoneflies hatching things are really picking up. We had 19 boats out this week with Josh, Naoto, Dean, Steve, Eric Jeff, Ken and George all on the water.
The early morning stonefly emergence was very good this week although not every single morning. Much like the one day the previous week where Josh and Steve floated before opening the shop at 7:30am, Josh has one day that was a total bust in terms of the stones, but the rest of the days that week were very good for the early morning stonefly floats. from 4:30am-9:30am most guests would get a dozen to 2 dozen eats on big foam bugs, and then things would slo down substantially. From 10/10:30-11:30/12 was the hardest time of day to catch fish but it seemed like most days after this lull the fish would go right back to feeding and big foam dries tight to the bank produced fish throughout the day. Its been another great week!
