The Lower Oldman River is an incredible stretch of river offering anglers a wide diversity of both scenery and fish. During a guided Lower Oldman River float trip you’ll find yourself casting to big predacious Bull Trout, acrobatic Rainbows, and much sought after Brown Trout in a mixture of rock gardens, fast runs and riffles, rock ledges, drop off’s and pools. This is a little known and fished stretch of river compared to so many of the better known stretches and rivers surrounding it, but make no mistake you do not want to overlook this trip.
The Lower Oldman River is a fly fisherman’s paradise, a mixed bag of fish hiding in all the structure you could previously only dream of. Hopper and dry fly fishing for healthy rainbows, cutties, cutbows and even brown trout can be as exciting as it is exceptional. Guided trips on the Lower Oldman River can also offer some of these most exciting streamer fishing you’ll find anywhere, and here its not merely the streamer takes themselves that offer all the excitement, but also the anticipation of finding out what type of predatory fish has attacked your streamer this time. All the while you will be floating through the gorgeous mix of scenery that only Southwestern Alberta has to offer. Book your float trip down the Lower Oldman River today.
